This chapter introduces basic trigonometry, including the use of ratios to solve right-triangle problems and analyze special triangles. The law of sines and cosine law are applied to more general triangle problems, including ambiguous cases. Students also explore trigonometry on the unit circle and learn sum and difference identities. Trigonometric applications strengthen understanding of similarity and measurement in geometry.
